Kenna's getting big!!

We decided to take advantage out of having season passes to Six Flags and we took the kids again yesterday. We started off looking at the land animals since we didnt get a chance to do that last time and then we split up and I took the kids to kiddie land and Justin went to ride some of his rides. Splitting up was a decision that he ended up regretting.
While we were in Thomas Town Jaydin was playing at the Thomas the Tank Engine table and I was kneeling down next to the table while Kenna held onto the ledge. I realized that she was holding on quite well and that her legs werent wobbling so I let go and with the help of the ledge...KENNA WAS STANDING!! I was sooo happy and glad that I had my camera and I caught her big moment on camera:) Then when we met back up with daddy, she was so proud of herself that she grabbed onto a planter box and stood up again!! It amazes me how quickly they learn new things!!

Jaydin had so much fun yesterday and we cant wait to take him back. They are open year round now so we will definitely be going back soon. A guest relations employee told me that they bring in snow during the winter and that they have an ice rink so I think Jaydin would LOVE to see the snow and Vallejo is a whole lot closer than Tahoe so he just might be able to!!

We're ready for Halloween!!

Since Jaydin was a bumble bee for his first Halloween, I've known since I was pregnant with Kenna that I wanted her to be a lady bug!! I thought it would be so cute to get a double picture frame and put there 1st Halloween pics side-by-side...my 2 little bugs:) I found her costume at Old Navy about 3 weeks ago and cant wait for her to wear it on Halloween. It is a little bit big and there is no way the pants will fit so I am going to get her some black tights to go along with it. The top is suppose to end above her knees, but it goes almost down to her feet so it looks like a long dress:) The spots are hearts instead of circles so it is too cute and girly!!
After looking at seven different stores over the course of the past six weeks, Jaydin FINALLY found his perfect Halloween costume at Old Navy yesterday. At the other stores he thought about being a pirate, elmo, Mater, Batman, a fireman and a power ranger, but when he saw the Lion costume at Old Navy he decided THAT was what he wanted to be!! It is slightly small on him, but it doesnt look TOO bad and he really wanted it and it was on clearance for only $13 so I decided to go for it. He likes to say "I Lion, grrrr" it is too cute:) There are pants that go along with it but I just wanted to take a quick pic so they arent on him here!!
Both their costumes are fleece and are really warm:) I think they are going to remain nice and toasty when we take them out trick-or-treating!! BTW...I LOVE this pic of the two of them together...I think its one of the best one's we've taken

Jaydin's special 3rd Birthday!

Jaydin with his classroom friends
Yesterday turned out to be very special for Jaydin! We had a party at school for him at 3:00 with all of his friends and mommy had so much fun playing with them. They ate cupcakes, played "pin the tail on the donkey" or more like "put the tail on the fence!!" and had goodie bags. It was very fun and you could tell that Jaydin LOVED being the center of attention!!

We had so much fun watching the kids play together and enjoy Jaydin's special party. I cant wait until next year when we can do this all again!!

Then in the evening we met up with Jaydin's grandparents at Mammy & Poppy's house for a special dinner party. Jaydin was SOOO patient as his presents just sat waiting to be opened for almost 2 hours. He tried to sneak a peak at one of them but was really good about putting it back when he was asked to. He was excited when it was finally time to open them up and see what he got. Makenna enjoyed laying on the floor with her Bubby and playing with any of the toys that he would let her! After present time he got his much awaited "Mater McQueen" cake that he picked out in JUNE!! It was a great evening and we were really happy that Mammy & Poppy opened their home to help him celebrate his special day. When it was time for bed, he looked at me and said "My birthdays over?" And I felt so badly for him but quickly pointed out that it was alright because...he gets another one next year!!

New hair cut for the birthday boy!!

Well, today is Jaydin's 3rd birthday! I cant believe how quickly the time has just flown by:( We are having a party for him at school today and he's very excited!! He chose the theme "Disney Cars" or Mater McQueen as he calls it!! So I bought the Cars cupcake paper wrappers and the Cars rings to put in the cupcakes. I made a whole bunch of cupcakes last night with pretty sparkly frosting and we put goody bags together for his friends and we are also going to play "Pin the Tail on the Donkey" I am very excited to have his school party:) Then in the evening we are going to my mom's for a birthday dinner for him with: Mommy, Daddy, Mammy, Poppy, Great Poppy, Honey, Papa and Papa Steve! He's going to have lots of fun and will feel very special!! I will post new pics tomorrow from both of his parties. Here are a couple pictures from this morning of our birthday boy. Thank you Auntie Mary & Uncle Steve for his cool new sweat outfit! He felt very special in his new sweatshirt today:)

Fun at Six Flags!

We took Jaydin to Six Flags on Saturday for an early birthday present and he had a BLAST!! You would have thought that mommy, daddy and sister were invisable because Jaydin was obsessed with Poppy!! He wanted to ride everything with Poppy & spend all of his time with him. I am soooo thankful that my kids have such wonderful grandparents that love them so much.

We took 2 cars and headed down to Vallejo at 9:30 so that we could be there when the park opened at 10:30. We were so excited when we got there that we pratically ran to the park (Jaydin was to excited to sit in the stroller so he rode on daddy's shoulders) Jaydin was excited to ride the elephant but when we got there and he saw the elephant he decided that it was MUCH too big to ride and settled for just touching her trunk!!

After a very brief introduction to the elephant, we headed over to "kiddie land" so that Jaydin could start riding the rides! He ran straight for the first ride he could find and it was a hot air balloon ride. He was too short to ride by himself so mommy hopped on to enjoy the ride with him. After that ride we headed over to the Merry-Go-Round and Jaydin rode with Poppy while I sat with Makenna. I was very excited because this was the first ride she had ever been on!! After the Merry-Go-Round we headed to "Thomas Town" (Thomas the Tank Engine) and Poppy, Daddy, Mommy, Jaydin & Makenna rode Thomas and Jaydin has SOOO much fun!! Kenna wasnt very thrilled and she decided to nurse the whole ride! Kinda embarrassing for me but I am not sure if anybody even noticed!!

After Jaydin was done with a few of his rides we decided to move onto the area where daddy & poppy's rides were. On the way over there Jaydin got to meet his superhero "Batman" and was so excited. Then we stopped by a few games and mommy won Jaydin a Batman stuffed toy because the lady couldnt guess her weight correctly!! Jaydin loved his new toy and Makenna had fun with Mammy being spoiled!! She loves being carried but she liked the stroller also because she sat up front in bubby's seat and could see everything going on!!

After mommy, daddy & Poppy rode the simulator ride, we headed over to have some lunch and Kenna got her much awaited bottle!! Then we went back over to "kiddie land" and let Jaydin ride some more rides before going back to the roller coasters for the grown ups to ride some more!! Jaydin was fairly patient while he had to wait for us to ride our rides but the longest wait was only about 15 minutes so it went relatively quickly.

At 6:30 Mammy & Poppy decided to call it a day and head back home so we took a few last pictures before they left and then we headed towards Jaydin's rides so that he could finish out the day the way HE wanted too!

On our way out of the park we decided that we had so much fun and that we definitely wanted to come back so we upgraded to Season Passes so we will be back next year:) It should be fun because Kenna will be walking and will be able to ride the rides with her big brother:)
